HOW TO GET
By plane
Rome-Fiumicino Airport. A train connection with the Rome-Termini central station leaves approximately every hour. From here, hourly, you can reach the stations of Fondi, Formia and Minturno.
Rome-Ciampino Airport. It is connected by bus to the Anagnina station from where, with the Rome metro line, you reach the Rome-Termini central station.
Naples-Capodichino Airport. A bus line connects the airport to the central railway station in Piazza Garibaldi. From here, trains depart hourly, stopping at Formia station.
On the train
The main railway stations of Rome and Naples are connected regularly (one train every half hour) with the Gulf area via the Formia airport. Some direct trains from Milan-Bologna-Florence or from Trieste-Venice avoid the change in Rome. For information on timetables visit the website www.trenitalia.it or call the Trenitalia toll-free number 892021. From the Formia airport you can reach Gaeta by bus or taxi.
By car
Autostrada del Sole at the Cassino exit, highway that leads to Formia, from here continue towards Gaeta. Coming from the North it is also possible to exit at Rome South from the A1 Autostrada del Sole, take the Gran Raccordo Anulare in the South-Naples direction and then the Strada Statale n. 148 Pontina. Once past the seaside town of Terracina you can choose the Litoranea S.S. 213 Flacca to reach Gaeta, or the S.S. n. 7 Appia to enter the hinterland and reach Itri. After Itri, the Appia reaches Formia and then continues towards Gaeta. Coming from the South it is also possible to take the S.S. Domiziana from Naples
By bus
The municipality of Gaeta is connected by buses of the regional COTRAL Consortium.
